Lesson Program

TrueNDallasorth Equestrian Center has a select group of ponies and horses that have taken our students from the basics to championships in competition. Our intimate setting allows students more individual attention and our hands-on operation offers demonstrations and clinics from many role models.

Classes meet afternoons and evenings during the week and morning and afternoon on the weekend. We also offer a variety of horse shows, clinics, field trips, summer day camp and other equestrian activities. To view some of our fun lessons both indoors and out on our XC courses visit our YOUTUBE channel.

We offer group and private instruction in English (hunt seat) equitation, dressage, and cross-country for children and adults.

Lesson Payment Information:

• Make checks payable to TrueNorth Equestrian NY or Amy McWherter
• To ensure your payment is processed correctly:
– Put the student name and date of the lesson on the check or clearly label the envelope with the lesson date and time. (When we get 3rd party checks without this information we do not know who it is for.)

Proper Riding Attire: Safety is our top priority, and to make sure our students are safe at all times, we ask everyone to wear a boot with a heel and jeans or riding pants. (No open-toe shoes are allowed in the stable at any time.)

HELMETS: Helmets are to be worn AT ALL TIMES when riding. Helmets are provided to students who don’t have one of their own.

Other Lesson Information: Because we have hourly lessons, we want to ensure that every student is allowed on-time lessons with maximum time on their mount. Students should arrive 20-30 minutes before a lesson to properly groom and tack-up their horse. If a student arrives at the scheduled lesson start time, grooming and tacking up will interfere with the actual mounted lesson time. Also, allow for 20-30 minutes after your lesson to properly cool down, un-tack, and groom your horse.
